We're Expecting!

So, it's official -- Kate's pregnant .... with TWINS!  We are shocked, happy, nervous, overwhelmed, but mostly completely overjoyed.   

The babies are due the day after Thanksgiving!

Through blood tests, we've also learned each baby's gender a little earlier than expected (Kate is only 14 weeks).  

THEY ARE BOTH GIRLS!

This was the first picture taken of the girls.  As you can see, they have their own placentas and are in their own sacks -- they are "DiDi" twins (Dichorionic/Diamniotic twins).  More than likely, they are fraternal.  Kate's paternal Grandfather was a fraternal twin and is most likely the source of these little surprises.
